Pace Evolutions
Heating the future, sustainably
Transforming a technical energy company into a trusted guide for homeowners
Pace Evolutions installs heat pumps across the UK — a technology many homeowners do not fully understand and some actively distrust. When planning the website, the client brought a competitor's site as a reference. It read like an engineering manual: dense, technical, and written for someone who already knew what a heat pump was. That was the industry standard. It was also exactly what we were not going to build.
The task was to take everything Pace Evolutions knew — the certifications, the track record, the genuine expertise — and translate it into a journey a homeowner could actually feel comfortable walking through. Not a technical pitch, but a conversation. One that moved from curiosity to confidence without ever feeling like a push.
Our goal was a website that did the selling quietly — building trust at every scroll, answering objections before they were voiced, and guiding the right homeowner toward booking a consultation without them ever feeling like they were being sold to.
Strategic Direction
Education Before Conversion
The first thing we did was throw out the company’s internal structure as a content guide. Most websites are built around what a business offers. This one had to be built around what a homeowner fears, wonders, and eventually wants to understand. Every section was designed to answer a question the visitor had not yet typed.
The savings calculator was placed at the very top of the page — in the hero, where most sites put a headline and a button. The idea was simple: before asking anyone to book a call, show them the number. A homeowner who can already see their potential savings before speaking to anyone is not a cold lead. They have already started believing.
Homeowners do not distrust heat pumps because they have read bad reviews. They distrust them because they cannot picture what the result looks like in a real home. The before-and-after visual feature was built for exactly that gap — replacing abstract claims with something a visitor could see and recognise as real.
Every microinteraction, every animation, every spacing decision was calibrated to signal one thing: you are dealing with a company that knows exactly what it is doing. Not through words, but through feel. When a site behaves the way a premium service should, the visitor already trusts the company before they have read a single testimonial.
